1. Who we are

Files is a file management and device utility application for Android. Features may include browsing and managing files, storage overview, junk cleanup, phone boost / battery / cooler tools, private (vault) files, app locker, FTP server, notifications, settings, and related services that help you manage your device.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information processed on your device (local)

• Files and folders you browse, open, copy, move, delete, archive, or place in the private vault — processed locally to provide file-manager functions. We do not upload your personal files to our servers as part of normal file management.
• App preferences and security settings such as theme, bookmarks, app-locker credentials, and feature toggles — stored locally on the device.
• Usage-stats / process information (after you grant the system permission) used for boost, cleaner, battery, and cooler features on-device.
• App-generated device identifier: a random UUID created by the App and stored locally for product operation (for example attribution or diagnostics). This is distinct from identifiers provided by advertising platforms when advertising features are used.

2.2 Information sent to our servers

• Install attribution: the App may read the Google Play Install Referrer and send to our backend (https://backend.moneylocation.net/) a limited payload that may include: the app-generated UUID, install referrer string, install version, and related install/click timestamps, to understand distribution channels.
• Configuration and product support: the App may request remote configuration (for example ad unit or feature configuration) from our backend or from Google Firebase Remote Config to operate and improve the App.

2.3 Advertising and measurement

• The App may display third-party advertisements (including Google AdMob) and may use advertising identifiers and related signals permitted by the platform and your settings, in order to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
• Advertising partners may collect or receive information such as device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, app interaction and ad performance data, subject to their own privacy policies (for example Google’s advertising privacy documentation).
• You can limit ad personalization where available through your Android / Google account settings.

2.4 Analytics and crash reporting

• We may use Google Firebase Analytics and/or Crashlytics (or similar tools) to understand feature usage, stability, and performance. These services may process device and app instance identifiers, events, and crash logs.

2.5 Information you voluntarily provide

• If you use in-app Feedback, you may enter comments and an email address for support purposes.

2.6 Third-party services you open

• Opening this Privacy Policy / Terms, Google Play store pages (rating / updates), or system browsers may involve Google or other providers under their own policies.
• User-initiated network features (for example FTP or remote access you configure) connect to endpoints you choose; we do not control those third-party servers.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve file management and utility features;
• Secure private vault / app locker features on-device;
• Attribute installs and understand distribution channels;
• Deliver and measure advertising;
• Analyze usage and fix crashes;
• Respond to feedback you submit;
• Comply with applicable law and Google Play policies.

We do not sell your personal files. We do not sell personal information in the sense of transferring your content for money; advertising and measurement partners may process data as described above to provide their services.

4. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions. You can deny non-essential permissions; some features will then be unavailable.

• All files access / storage — core file manager functionality.
• Internet / network state — backend APIs, ads, analytics, policy pages, Play links, and user-initiated network features.
• Notifications — reminders and service notifications (Android 13+).
• Usage access — optional; for more accurate boost / cleanup / battery-related tools.
• Fingerprint / biometrics — optional; for unlocking protected features where offered.
• Boot completed / foreground services — to restore optional services such as app locker when you enable them.
• Install packages — only when you choose to install an APK via the App.
• Install Referrer — to read Play install source for attribution.
• Advertising ID — where used by advertising / measurement SDKs and permitted by the platform.

5. Data retention

• Local preferences, vault content, and locker settings remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
• Server-side attribution, analytics, and advertising-related records are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, security, and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Data sharing

We may share limited information with:

• Our backend infrastructure operators (for example API hosting at backend.moneylocation.net);
• Advertising and measurement partners (for example Google AdMob / Google advertising services);
• Analytics and crash-reporting providers (for example Google Firebase);
• Google Play / Android system services when you use Play features.

We do not share the contents of your personal files with advertisers as part of file management.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in transit to our backend (HTTPS) and to protect local features such as the vault / app locker. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Protect your device lock screen and app-locker credentials.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your choices

• Revoke permissions in Android system settings;
• Adjust advertising personalization in your Google / device settings where available;
• Clear app data or uninstall the App to remove local data;
• Contact us regarding access, correction, or deletion requests where applicable law requires.

10. International users

Our servers and service providers may process information outside your country. By using the App, you understand that information described in this Policy may be processed in other jurisdictions with different data-protection laws.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product or legal changes. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in the in-app link and on this page.

4. 权限说明

• 指纹等生物识别 — 可选，用于解锁受保护功能；
• 开机启动 / 前台服务 — 在您开启时恢复应用锁等服务；
• 安装应用 — 仅在您主动安装 APK 时；
• Install Referrer — 读取安装来源用于归因；
• 广告 ID — 在广告 / 衡量 SDK 使用且平台允许时。

5. 保存期限

• 本地数据在清除应用数据或卸载前保留在设备上；
• 服务端归因、分析与广告相关记录仅在实现本政策所述目的、安全与法律要求所需期间保留，之后删除或匿名化。

6. 共享

我们可能与以下方共享有限信息：

• 后端基础设施运营方（例如 backend.moneylocation.net）；
• 广告与衡量合作伙伴（例如 Google AdMob / Google 广告服务）；
• 分析与崩溃报告服务商（例如 Google Firebase）；

9. 您的选择

• 在系统设置中撤销权限；
• 在 Google / 设备设置中调整广告个性化（如可用）；
• 清除数据或卸载以删除本地数据；
• 在适用法律要求下，就访问、更正或删除请求与我们联系。

10. 跨境处理

我们的服务器与服务商可能在您所在国家/地区之外处理信息。使用本应用即表示您理解本政策所述信息可能在其他法域处理。

11. 政策变更
